Preparing for the unexpected is about reducing stress and increasing resilience by “taking back the reins” around potential risks through awareness, planning and community building.
This workshop starts with a simple risk identification tool that can be applied to virtually any context (e.g. fire, flood, extreme weather, you name it!) and then gets participants to create their personal action plan to get more prepared in case of emergency. The workshop is highly interactive and fun with lots of collaboration to help you work through the exercises.
The content is based on an Emergency preparedness workshop offered by Chris Gilmore via Changing World Project and The Guelph Outdoor School.
